Equipment from Moulding to Billet Cutting
A continuous casting line moves molten steel through the copper mould, secondary cooling, withdrawal and straightening sections before the strand is cut into billets.
Ruiyu supplies equipment for these production stages and coordinates the mechanical, hydraulic and cooling connections between the equipment.
Copper Mould
The copper mould controls the initial solidification of the strand.
Ruiyu supplies copper mould assemblies, copper mould tubes and copper mould plates. Manufacturing includes dimensional inspection and checks of cooling-water connections.
Mould Oscillator
The mould oscillator controls the movement of the mould during casting.
Ruiyu supplies mould oscillators for continuous casting systems, with dimensions and connection requirements confirmed during technical preparation.
Secondary Cooling
After leaving the mould, the strand passes through the secondary cooling section.
Ruiyu supplies secondary cooling spray nozzles and related equipment. The arrangement is checked against the casting format and line design.
Withdrawal and Straightening
Withdrawal and straightening equipment moves the strand through the casting machine and corrects its shape before cutting.
Ruiyu supplies withdrawal and straightening machines and related rollers. Mechanical dimensions, assembly and equipment connections are inspected before delivery.
Dummy Bar System
The dummy bar guides the initial strand through the casting machine during the start of casting.
Ruiyu supplies CCM dummy bars, dummy bar heads and dummy bar storage equipment for continuous casting lines.
Cutting and Billet Transfer
After straightening, the strand is cut into billets and transferred to the next production stage.
Ruiyu supplies torch cutting machines, torch cutting nozzles, hydraulic shears, shear blades and roller tables.
Continuous Casting Project Experience
In 2024, Ruiyu completed the hot commissioning of an R8 m seven-machine, seven-strand continuous casting machine for a customer.
The machine produced 150 × 330 mm and 150 × 380 mm rectangular billets during commissioning.
